Dr Joe Ebbs
Joe qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2012 and initially pursued a career in Emergency Medicine before specialising in General Practice. With additional training in Sports and Exercise Medicine, Joe has worked in high-pressure environments from hospitals to professional sport, including Bristol Bears rugby.
His passion lies in preventative care helping people live longer, healthier lives through joined-up, lifestyle-focused healthcare.

Chris Kay BSc GSR BASRaT
Head of Rehabilitation. Sports Rehabilitator BSc (Hons) GSR.
Special Interests: Lower Limb, Running & Movement Specialist.
Chris is a fully qualified Sports Rehabilitation Specialist who graduated from St Mary’s University in Twickenham and is a full member of BASRaT. He specialises in diagnosing sports injuries, biomechanical assessment, functional rehabilitation, sports massage involving deep tissue and myofascial techniques, as well as nutrition.
Sports Rehabilitation focuses on a functional and active recovery from injury. It aims to find the source of the injury to reduce likelihood of re-injury and provide advice on all aspects of treatment. Although the name implies, sports people are not the only people Chris treats.
Chris has provided sports massage at several events, including the London Marathon and worked as a massage therapist for international rugby teams such as South Africa and New Zealand as well as London Welsh Rugby Club.
Chris is also trained in the manual therapy technique called The Mulligan Concept which is a world-renowned technique in the treatment of many injuries.
Chris also has a significant amount of experience in running and cycling injuries, as well as being a qualified Joanne Elphinston Movement Systems Practitioner (JEMS). Chris also lectures at the University of the West of England (UWE) for the undergraduates in Sports Rehabilitation.
Chris is also the Manager and Head Running Coach at the Running School Bristol after receiving a high level of training from world renown running expert Mike Antoniades at The Running School Headquarters in Chiswick.
Chris is also trained in Shockwave Therapy; a cutting-edge treatment for persistent tendon problems, Electrical Muscle Stimulation, and Therapeutic Ultrasound.
After growing up in Bristol, Chris moved away to Australia for a year then to London to study and is very excited at being back working in his hometown. Away from work, he is a keen sportsman including cricket, rugby and running.

Mr Alex Parford BSc HCPC PH99725

Alex qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2012 from Manchester Metropolitan University. After completing his degree and gaining registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Alex has worked in several different areas, including the NHS, professional sport and private practice.
Alex spent the first years of his career working for Sale Sharks rugby team before moving to London to work in a number of roles within private practice. Here Alex continued to work with high level athletes including GB level runners and triathletes, professional Golfers, and national level Muay Thai fighters.
Specialising in sport injuries, Alex is a qualified and experienced running coach. Through this he has developed a strong understanding of running biomechanics and the tools needed to return from injury and improve performance.
Alex has a passion for helping his clients to make themselves better. He believes that educating a patient is the best form of Physiotherapy, whether guiding them through mobility work, strengthening, Pilates or running coaching.
Alex enjoys helping his clients to achieve their goals. Whether that is to be pain free, have a more active lifestyle or to achieve a new PB in an upcoming race.

Rachel White
Rachel is a registered clinical and sports dietitian with a strong foundation in both performance nutrition and clinical care. Since graduating from King’s College London in 2016, she has worked across the NHS and private sector, helping a wide range of individuals optimise their health through food.
Within the NHS, Rachel currently works as a specialist cancer dietitian and has previously supported patients across diverse areas including intensive care, weight management, thoracics, and nutrition support.
